Introducing Emily Petty
I'm Emily,Â
I dreaded performance conversations...
I thought that I would fumble on my words. I worried about what they would think and feel. I wanted to please others and be nice.
It turned out that being nice was not kind to me or kind to the people I was managing.
I realised that to lead others I needed to understand myself first. You can do this too.
When I challenged my desire to be liked everything changed.
I started to think about how I could show care for my team and care for myself. I created space for difficult feelings and started to trust my leadership strengths.
Everything I teach and share I have lived through myself. This guide will help you make a mindset shift and give you practical tips to help you create a plan and act on it.
